Entry into Reception Class September 2019
Applications for Reception places are dealt with by Gloucestershire County Council. Our school do not take over any In Year Applications until the first day of term in September 2019.
We have one intake each year, at the start of the Autumn Term. Reception pupils are normally admitted to school in the September following their 4th birthday. The Published Admission Number (PAN) is a maximum of 30 pupils per class; we have a maximum intake of 60 for Reception Year.
Parents complete the Gloucestershire County Council preference forms in the Autumn before their child is due to start school. Parents submit this form to Gloucestershire County Council.
Place allocated by Gloucestershire County Council the following April.
If choices haven’t been met, parents may first of all request reconsideration, and then appeal. Both of these processes are dealt with by Gloucestershire County Council.
Entry into Reception, Year 1 to Year 6 In-Year Admissions
Parents of older children, moving into the area, are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school. An In-Year Application Form then needs to be completed and returned to school with proof of residence and proof of the child's date of birth. If there is space in the year group, arrangements are made to admit the child. If no place is available, parents are informed by letter, and informed on the appeals process. Children refused a place due to over-subscription are automatically placed on the waiting list and parents are informed of the appeals process.
Please click here to download an In Year Application Form. Please complete this form and return it with proof of your address and proof of your child's date of birth. Please note that an application cannot be processed until we have received the fully completed application form together with the proof of residence and date of birth. Please see our Policies page for our Admissions Policy.
