New Starters to Reception

Dear Parent/Carers

We are writing to formally welcome you into the Linden Primary School community. Given the current situation with schools being closed, we wanted to try as best we can to reduce any worries that you may have about your child's transition into our Early Years Reception classes. We are delighted that you have chosen for your child to become a pupil at our school - we are really looking forward to spending time with you and them.

As with all schools, we are doing the very best we can to support pupils and staff during this very challenging time. The EYFS team are currently in the process of developing a really clear plan for moving forward with transitions. It is likely that we will be able to give you more information about this in June. This year's transitions are going to be a little different given the rules that may well be in place around social distancing.

We are hoping to provide you with information on how you can support your child's start to school life and what we can do to try our best for them. It is really important that you and your child feel supported during this time.

We will communicate with you as soon as we have more information and can begin to address any questions you may have. We will also be able to start providing you with all the essential information that you will need. Our website will be updated as soon as we have more information to provide.

The staff here at Linden Primary School will do everything they can for your child when they begin their time here. We look forward to seeing you then.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Collins and the EYFS Team
